I received the results back from 1 of 3 marker tests for my deep ancestral dna testing I had started last month. The first set of results were for markers 1 – 12. Below is a brief listing of some of that data.

R1b1a2 (R-M269)
(Y-STR):

DYS439=11
DYS389I=13
DYS392=13
DYS389II=29

Very cool. I intend to take one of those tests. Which test was this?
I took the y dna test for the paternal ancestry. I intend to get the mtdna after which would pertain to my maternal line.
Which company did you go through?
I used the one with the largest dna database that the public has access to and that National Geographic uses for their massive Genographic project – ftDNA – Family Tree DNA.
Oh, interesting. I’ll check into it. Thanks!
